Sept. 16, 2016  Release day for Millionaire’s Shot! Enjoyed the chance to use a polo setting. We lived close to the Calgary Polo Club and it’s surprisingly difficult to connect with that little ball, even on a good horse! (The first polo game in Canada was held in 1878 by British officers in Halifax, Nova Scotia.)

March 17, 2016  Release Day for Strange Behavior, one of the launch novellas for the new Sydney Rye Kindle World. This short story was a lot of fun to write as I could combine my racetrack characters with Sydney and her trusty sidekick, Blue. Emily Kimelman has a great series going here!

June 6 Thrilled to watch American Pharoah win the Belmont. The roar of the crowd was incredible. Congrats to all his connections.

October 31 What a horse! American Pharoah wins the Breeders Cup Classic and retires as the first Grand Slam winner at the end of a legendary campaign. Hope to visit him at Ashford Stud.

October 1, 2014  Had a great time writing REPENT, a mystery/thriller short story for Kindle Worlds. Naturally I slid some horse action into Lizzy Gardner’s investigative series… And pigs, although these hogs had a different diet than the ones we raised in Alberta.

April 6, 2014  Excellent publishing/marketing seminar in Halifax with Mark Lefebrve of Kobo.
